A Little Something More on Intuitive Eating

It seems like many of you really enjoyed my article on Friday about inuitive eating.

There’s actually something I missed in that article that I really wanted to show you – by the time I remembered it, the article was way too long and I had to leave it out!

If you are ever feeling anxious about food, just listen to the following video and meditate on it. (Props to Shuhan from Mummy, I Can Cook! blog for showing me this!)

The people talking in the soundbite are Jerry and Esther Hicks, famous inspirational speakers whose teachings are focused around The Law of Attraction.

    Hey Tracy

Thanks for sharing these, they are really helping me.

As you know I was/am struggling with my diet and only recently has it been getting better.

Did you get the email I sent you earlier?

    Bobby

man im so glad i read your posts and the way you have come out of all of these ‘diet theories’ is just so perfect and exactly what i needed. Also listening to that video was great…really made a lot of sense. By the way – on the herbs front, i really think you should try some. They are working great for me, almost like the last piece of the puzzle type thing. Really have improved my digestive functioning and emotions.

Hi Amy – hey that’s great about the herbs. Which ones are you using, by the way?

        hey
The medicinal herbalist I’m seeing made me up a 2 week tincture of Artichoke, Golden seal, Yellow dock root, Dandelion root, Licorice root, Ginger, Agnus castus, Mugwort, Agrimony, Ashwagandha and Hops.
Its for digestion and balancing hormones. Its so weird because after about 3 days of taking them I slowly started to feel more like the old me from 2 years ago before any of this stuff happened (skin and diet changes/restrictions). Im so much happier and alive and my skin is also looking great even though it was only mild acne before (i have a tendency to blow things up way bigger in my mind than they actually are in reality). Its quite cheap as wel..works out at about £7 a week i think. I see it like medicine..also it tastes VILE..but i just down it like its an alcoholic drink or something and follow with a chaser. After the 2 weeks she’s going to re-asses and make me another tincture with some of the same herbs and some different because you can only take certain herbs for small periods of time act but others take longer to work.

I’ve been doing intuitive eating since first hearing this a couple of weeks ago, when it ws first posted on your blog. I’ve got to say, it has helped me to to repair my relationship with foods… I’m doing allergy elimination (NAET) and then as I’m cleared for problematic foods, I am re-introducing them into my diet, while saying these things to myself (from the video). and learning to get in tune with what my body is asking for… I’m feeling much more healthy. it was just what I needed at the time. so glad I found your Blog Tracy!! Thanks for all that you do <3

As soon as I started stressing about my diet and restricting myself again after about 3 weeks of clearer skin and good mood, I’ve broken out three times. Such a joke! I really and truly believe in this concept now that it’s totally wrong to cut stuff out, and I’ve just had my skin prove it to me in the meanest way.

This sounds similar to a book I read, and could not put down called the Yoga of Eating. Check it out @ http://www.amazon.com/The-Yoga-Eating-Transcending-Nourish/dp/0967089727
Also, I love your site. It’s helped me out with my acne so much. I bought your book 3 weeks ago now, and even though I still have a few small break outs, the nodular acne I had is all gone and my cheeks are almost completely in the clear. Yay greens!

Hey Tracy, I was wondering.. What do you feel about gluten-free pasta? Just gluten-free products in general? ;p My mom made some pasta a few days ago, and while I knew that I couldn’t eat it, she made the pasta source from scratch and used gluten-free pasta. I figured… It’s better than eating the processed pasta? ;p

Hi Adel… most gluten free products you buy at the store are still packaged and processed, so it’s not like they’re fabulous. Homemade gluten free pasta though? I’d totally eat it.
